Antiques in the Marketplace

This specialized course will assist you in discerning the finer points of antique furniture, showcase English and American silver, refine your appreciation of porcelain and glass and delve into the inner workings of antique clocks. Market trends and the impact of the Internet on buying and selling will also be discussed.

Location: Shelby Campus

Instructor: Kenneth S. Hays, has appeared on the Antiques Roadshow, taught classes for continuing education at the university level and owns a regionally known auction gallery and appraisal business. He serves as a guest lecturer for historic homes and has written numerous articles on antiques.
